First Chinese English Urdu Dictionary Update: After the successful launch of a book titled “Let’s Learn Chinese together,” Pakistan-China Joint Chamber of Commerce & Industry (PCJCCI) now introduces“First Chinese English Urdu Dictionary” along with the second edition of Chinese Learning book.
Both of these projects were executed and implemented by Ms. Nuzhat Farooq, head of Chinese Publications department PCJCCI.
Mr. Wang Zihai, President PCJCCI, while delivering the address of welcome, said that the First Chinese English Urdu Dictionary is something really remarkable and a historical achievement that we, the PCJCCI team has introduced for the continuous efficacy of our Chinese Language program.
Mr. Wang Zihai informed that to avail business and professional opportunities created by CPEC, PCJCCI started the oriental level Chinese language program in collaboration with TEVTA in August 2015, with primarily only two classes at main campus TEVTA which are now proliferated in nearly half of the province of Punjab and now expanding to other provinces as well.
He said that the classes were initiated to invigorate Pakistani business, working force, and professionals from all walks of life to bridge the communication gap between the investors from China and local people.
Mr. Wang Daxue, Deputy Consul General of China, in his address, highly appreciated the endeavors of PCJCCI for bridging up the language barrier. He said that the platforms like PCJCCI are the great contributors of growth in currently growing relations between China and Pakistan.
Dr. Nizamudin, Chairman Punjab Higher education commission, in his address expressed his satisfaction over working of the PCJCCI.
“I am inspired by the enthusiasm of PCJCCI officials regarding the execution of these effective publications.”
Ms. Nuzhat in her speech told that due to much-applauded appreciation after the publication of the first edition of the book, they decided to execute another innovative project underlined as a “Dictionary” that can cater the needs of Chinese nationals as well as Pakistanis.
The First Chinese English Urdu Dictionary encompassing ten thousand Chinese characters and is elaborated in 4 rows that illustrate words in Pinyin (English version of Chinese language), Characters (original Language), English and Urdu.
