Honda Latest Mid Size SUV BR-V 2017 Update: Honda’s latest mid-size SUV, BR-V, is finally here. The company released a teaser back in January pre-booking began in February.
Honda Latest Mid Size SUV BR-V 2017 following a launch event in Lahore, the car maker has revealed all about its new SUV for the Pakistani market.
CEO Honda, Shinki Aoyama, while addressing the audience, said:
“The decision to introduce Honda BR-V in Pakistan is primarily to cater big families and diverse roads of Pakistan.”
The Honda Latest Mid Size SUV BR-V 2017 market is traditionally dominated by the likes of Pajeros, Hilux and Land Cruisers.
Of late, subcompact and midsize SUVs have been in great demand, cannibalizing on sedans, hatchbacks and full-featured SUVs.
The vehicle is solidly built, practical and offers generous amounts of space for a smaller price tag.
Two different variants of the BR-V will be available in Pakistan:
- BR-V i-VTEC Grade
- BR-V i-VTEC S-Grad
Let’s take a look at what the car has to offer.
Honda Latest Mid Size SUV BR-V 2017 design is a reminiscent of what we have already seen with Honda CR-V and HR-V.
While not that tall, the SUV is long and decently wide. It has a ground clearance of 201mm (20.1cm), which, Honda claims is class leading.
The large rim tires, fog lights, Chrome Front Grill, Rear Combination Lamps, Retractable side mirrors with side signals make the vehicle stand out from the rest.
Honda BR-V will be available with the following color options:
- Tafetta White
- Lunar Silver
- Modern Steel
- Urban Titanium
- Crystal Black
- Sporty Blue
While still a toned down version compared to international models, Honda Atlas hasn’t cut much in the Pakistani variant of the BR-V.
It gets most features you would expect to find in car of this size at this price range.
BR-V i-VTEC S grade comes with a multimedia navigation built-in while the feature is optionally available in the vanilla variant.
Honda has made sure that there’s ample room for everyone to sit at a fair distance from eachother.
The third row seats come with 50/50 split functionality to extend the already spacious boot space.
The metallic accents, cup holder and leather interior (S grade) give a luxurious feel in an otherwise moderately priced vehicle.
Driver seat height adjustment only comes with the S grade variant.
Engine & Performance
Both Honda BR-V variants will come with a 1.5 litre engine along with CVT (Automatic) transmission.
According to information from Honda’s released documents for the international variants of the vehicle, it is achieve a mileage of 16 km/l with Automatic transmission.
ABS brakes with EBD come as a standard in the new BR-V.
Safety & Security
Unfortunately, both variants will come with SRS Airbags but only for the car’s driver.
Key less entry and Immobilizer come as a standard on both variants of the SUV.
Following features come as standard on the base model and the S Grade variant.
