Nissan Motorsport Car 2017 Sentra NISMO Update: Just like BMW has its ‘M’ division to break the barriers and Mercedes-Benz has AMG to prove its sporting prowess and Toyota has TRD or Ford has Ford Performance (previously known as SVT) Nissan for a long time had its Nismo division to provide professionally produced cars for the motorsports. The Nissan Motorsport Car 2017 Sentra NISMO badge started to appear on the road going models with same race-bred ambitions and performance levels.
The Nissan Motorsport Car 2017 Sentra NISMO is the latest in a long line of compact Nissan performance sedans going back nearly 50 years to the Datsun 510 and the original Sentra SE-R. The new, first-ever Sentra NISMO is also the first mainstream U.S. Nissan model to offer motorsports-inspired NISMO factory-tuned performance. It joins the GT-R NISMO, 370Z NISMO, JUKE NISMO and JUKE NISMO RS in the 2017 Nissan lineup.
Taking the first three alphas form the parent name Nissan and then later adding last two characters for the motorsport NISMO is a DNA that’s already there in the name. Nissan has now newly has set up a new unit to expand its NISMO road car business by boosting the lineup in existing markets, including Japan, North America, Europe and the Middle East. This will help increase sales of NISMO cars, which are now about 15,000 units a year. Also, now expanding a greater range of NISMO-badged models available to customers in more global markets.
The Nissan Motorsport Car 2017 Sentra NISMO Cars Business Department is part of Autech Japan, Inc., a Nissan group company that makes converted vehicles. Using talent from Nissan, Autech, Nissan Motorsports International Co., Ltd. and other group companies, it will plan and develop more appealing products in a shorter time.
Nissan introduced the Nissan Motorsport Car 2017 Sentra NISMO brand to its mainstream model lineup in 2013 to bring customers more innovations and excitement. Featuring performance and styling developed through NISMO’s motorsports activities, the cars offer a sporty driving experience combined with Nissan’s quality, reliability, and durability. NISMO road cars NISMO road cars introduced so far include the GT-R, Fairlady Z, Juke, Note, Sentra and Patrol.
“As a Nissan sub-brand, NISMO further builds upon the core values of Nissan cars,” said Takao Katagiri, president, and CEO of both Autech Japan and Nissan Motorsports International. “With the combined expertise of Nissan group companies, NISMO road cars will make customers enjoy Nissan cars more than ever.”
The new business unit will also work with Nissan Motorsports International on marketing. This includes showing NISMO road cars at Nissan dealerships and showrooms and holding events and activities for NISMO car owners.
