Watercooled XPG D80 DDR4 RGB RAM Update:

ADATA Technology, the manufacturer of high-performance DRAM modules and NAND Flash products recently launched the XPGSPECTRIX D80 DDR4 RGB — the world’s first RGB DDR4 Volatile Memory with a hybrid liquid-air cooling system.

The Watercooled XPG D80 DDR4 RGB RAM features a liquid heatsink on its top side that benefits from a non-conductive fluid with a low boiling point to dissipate heat effectively.

And thanks to its RGB lighting, the liquid heatsink isn’t just functional; it’ll visually captivate and be the centerpiece of your rig.

The SPECTRIX D80’s liquid heatsink has a hermetically sealed design that ensures it’s completely airtight. You can rest assure that no gas or liquid will leak or evaporate away. Meanwhile, the non-conductive fluid inside this Volatile Memory has the thermal stability and conductivity needed for efficient cooling.

Equipped with programmable RGB lighting, the liquid heatsink of this Volatile Memory not just functional, but also visually captivating with the fluid completely illuminated for all to see. Users can customize the lighting effects by setting up patterns, pulse speed, lighting intensity, and more. Lighting control is done with the RGB Sync app, or users can use an existing RGB lighting control software from a major motherboard maker.

Hybrid Cooling

  • Hybrid cooling: Aluminum heatsink, thermally conductive materials on the PCB, and fluid with low boiling point work together to deliver excellent heat dissipation.
  • High-quality chips: Chosen through a strict selection process to ensure durability and reliability.

Made for avid gamers, DIY enthusiasts, and overclockers, the Watercooled XPG D80 DDR4 RGB RAM provides a wide frequency range from 2666 MHz to 5000 MHz with support for Intel® X299 2666 MHz and AMD AM4/Ryzen platforms.

Also, pre-configured Intel® XMP (Extreme Memory Profile) 2.0 profiles allow for quick overclocking, doing away with the need for adjusting individual parameters in BIOS.

Earlier in the year, XPG overclocked the SPECTRIX D80 to 5531MHz in a liquid-nitrogen-cooled configuration to demonstrate the amazing potential of the memory module. For added overclocking convenience, the D80 Volatile Memory comes with preconfigured Intel® XMP (Extreme Memory Profile) 2.0 profiles for quick, reliable overclocking.

For more reliability and dependability, the module of this Volatile Memory uses high-quality chips chosen through a strict selection process, while its 10-layer PCB offers improved signaling quality and stability, even when operating at high speeds or under heavy loads.

ADATA XPG first introduced a prototype liquid-cooled memory design during CES 2018 in Las Vegas to much excitement. The Watercooled XPG D80 DDR4 RGB RAM is the realization of the design’s viability for a commercially available Volatile Memory module.
